Single-Atom Catalysts on Covalent Organic Frameworks for CO2 Reduction

چکیده

The long-unresolved issue of CO2 release and the resulting atmospheric change can be solved through application effective catalysts. Thus, single-atom catalysts (SACs) have been rapidly developed for reduction reaction (CO2RR), as they show improved catalytic metrics enable generation C2+ products. Among numerous novel SACs, such those based on graphene, metal–organic frameworks, covalent organic frameworks (COFs), COF-based SACs are most promising owing to their high stability, porosity, designability. Considering this, we describe two synthesis methods SACs: ligand coordination macrocycle backbone integration, explore pros cons each. We also propose routes designing superior evaluate factors influencing CO2RRs over metal loading types.

Metal–organic and covalent organic frameworks as single-site catalysts

Heterogeneous single-site catalysts consist of isolated, well-defined, active sites that are spatially separated in a given solid and, ideally, structurally identical. In this review, the potential of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) as platforms for the development of heterogeneous single-site catalysts is reviewed thoroughly. In the first part of this art...

Single-Site Photocatalytic H2 Evolution from Covalent Organic Frameworks with Molecular Cobaloxime Co-Catalysts

We demonstrate photocatalytic hydrogen evolution using COF photosensitizers with molecular proton reduction catalysts for the first time. With azine-linked N2-COF photosensitizer, chloro(pyridine)cobaloxime co-catalyst, and TEOA donor, H2 evolution rate of 782 μmol h-1 g-1 and TON of 54.4 has been obtained in a water/acetonitrile mixture. PXRD, solid-state spectroscopy, EM analysis, and quantum...

Colloidal Covalent Organic Frameworks

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are two- or three-dimensional (2D or 3D) polymer networks with designed topology and chemical functionality, permanent porosity, and high surface areas. These features are potentially useful for a broad range of applications, including catalysis, optoelectronics, and energy storage devices. But current COF syntheses offer poor control over the material's morph...

Chemistry of Covalent Organic Frameworks.

Linking organic molecules by covalent bonds into extended solids typically generates amorphous, disordered materials. The ability to develop strategies for obtaining crystals of such solids is of interest because it opens the way for precise control of the geometry and functionality of the extended structure, and the stereochemical orientation of its constituents. Covalent organic frameworks (C...

Thiophene-based covalent organic frameworks.

We report the synthesis and characterization of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) incorporating thiophene-based building blocks. We show that these are amenable to reticular synthesis, and that bent ditopic monomers, such as 2,5-thiophenediboronic acid, are defect-prone building blocks that are susceptible to synthetic variations during COF synthesis. The synthesis and characterization of an u...
